A RARE HONEY FOR ALL PURPOSES
Azienda Agricola Festinalente (Festinalente Farm) practices Nomadic Beekeeping, with Organic Farming U.E. Certification, in the ‘Grigna Settentrionale Regional Park’, near Lecco, where the mountains of the Como Lake make a beautiful background for the work of the bees.
It is a small, excellent reality, several times award winning at the the ‘Grandi mieli d’Italia’ (‘Great Italian honey’) contest – the contest, organized by the National Observatory on Honey, is the most qualified and most prestigious competition on the quality of Italian honey -.
The wild cherry tree honey is quite rare, also because the flowering takes place in early spring, when bee families are still using nectar for their immediate survival.
The wild cherry tree honey has amber colour and ‘classic’ sweet taste that makes it very versatile.
Festinalente honey is raw: any form of heating is avoided to ensure all the natural nutritional elements are preserved. Because of this, it may naturally crystallize.
